As part of its corporate social responsibility’s efforts, the Industrial and General Insurance Company Plc has donated two sets of Jersey to the University’s Football Team in preparation for this year’s Vice Chancellor’s Cup.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Manager, Educational Institute Sector of the Company, Mr. Ganiyu Idowu said the donation was in line with the company’s mission of contributing towards the development of education in Nigeria. He commended the effort of the management ably led by the Vice chancellor, Professor Kayode Oyesiku for the transformation of TASUED as a centre of academic excellence.
Mr. Idowu however promised that the company, IGI will continue to partner with the University as he wishes the institution more fruitful years of academic excellence. In his response, the University Bursar, Mr. Tunji Ogbe, who represented the Vice Chancellor, thanked the IGI Plc for the kind gestures, adding that the University will appreciate more donations from other corporate organisations towards the development of sports in the university.
