(AN OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT – OWNED P.M.B. 2118, IJEBU-ODE, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR SENIOR NON-TEACHING STAFF VACANCIES Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions in Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, A. Director of Works and Services - CONTISS 15 (#2,232,199 - #2,875,791) The Director of Works shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day servicing and maintenance of the University’s infrastructures and machineries and give adequate supervision for all the major capital projects of the University. He/She shall oversee the smooth running of the general utility services and other related work on the campuses of the University. Academic/Professional qualifications (i) A good honours Degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or similar institutions. (ii) Membership of any of the relevant professional bodies such as the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), etc. (iii) Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage. Experience At least fifteen (15) years of relevant post-qualification cognate experience preferably in a University or similar institution and must have served as a Deputy Director of Works and Services for not less than three (3) years. B. Deputy Director of Physical Planning - CONTISS 14 (# (i) A good honours degree or equivalent qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or other related disciplines from a recognised University. (ii) Membership of relevant professional bodies such as Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC), Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), etc. (iii) Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage. At least twelve (12) years post qualification cognate experience in a University or related institution and must have served at the level of Chief Physical Planning Officer for not less than three (3) years. C. Deputy Director of Health Services - CONTISS 14 (# Academic / Professional Qualifications (i) The candidate for the position must possess a degree of Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS/MBCHB) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution. (ii) Membership of relevant professional bodies such as Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), National Association of Doctors in University Health Services (NADUHS), Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN), etc. (iii) Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage. Experience A minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification cognate experience in a University or related institutions out of which at least three years must be at the level of Principal Medical Officer. D. Chief Security Officer - CONTISS 13 (#1,445,598.96 - # 1,908,855.00) The Chief Security Officer shall be responsible for the internal security service of the University and will report directly to the Vice-Chancellor. He/She shall manage the day-to-day running of the unit. (i) A good relevant honours degree from a recognised University or similar institutions. (ii) Retired officer not below the rank of a Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent from the armed forces. (iii) Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage. At least fifteen (15) years of relevant post-qualification cognate working experience. E. Assistant Chief Security Officer - CONTISS 12 (# Academic / Professional Qualifications (i) A good relevant honours degree from a recognised University or similar institutions. (ii) Retired officer not below the rank of a Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent from the armed forces. (iii) Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage. Experience At least twelve (12) years of relevant post-qualification cognate working experience. F. Principal Security Officer I - CONTISS 11 (# Academic / Professional Qualifications (i) A good relevant honours degree from a recognised University or similar institutions. (ii) Retired officer not below the rank of a Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent from the armed forces. (iii) Computer literacy and possession of a higher degree shall be an added advantage. Experience At least nine (9) years cognate working experience of which four (4) years must be in campus security. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE The conditions of service are attractive and can compare favourably with what obtains in any public University. The successful candidate qualified for pensionable appointment will be on probation for three (3) years after which the appointment may be confirmed to a retiring age, provided the performance of such person is considered good enough for the University. The Contributory Pension Scheme as adopted by the State Government and appropriate allowances as may be approved from time-to-time by the University Governing Council shall be applicable to all staff.
